You can imagine how thrilled I was to see her new offering. The story kept my interest and kept me reading. ”Some of the sub-plots include Tessa learning the hard way that she must be more cautious in whom she dates after she encounters a sociopath – a disturbed young man who was so maltreated by his mother that he really detests women and so when Tessa rejects him (and also accidentally breaks his nose) he is in a demonic rage. This book's targeted audience includes but is not restricted to parents, guardians, professional advocates, therapists, teachers, childcare providers, medical professionals and survivors of sexual abuse. I can't wait to see what's next from the little NC town of Harmony. But other times i feel disconnected and the real perosn seems so far away. Is a perfect read aloud for the first grade.
